Mohammed Essam al-Faraj was 15 years old - a child - when he was arrested. Because of a loophole in the law, Mohammed faces the threat of a death penalty. Mohammed's trial is coming up. Together, we can speak up for Mohammed and remind the Saudi Arabian authorities that the world is watching.

Florida promotes itself as a tourist destination and a state connected to the world through regional and international trade and business links. At the same time, its attachment to the death penalty sets it apart from much of the great majority of the world. Tell Florida: it’s time to stop executions now!
ONLINE-PETITIONEN - USA
The federal death penalty is being used as a political tool by the Trump Administration and the campaign to re-elect Donald Trump. The administration is ignoring the law, ignoring compelling issues which demand executive clemency, ignoring the danger of executing during the pandemic, and even ignoring the families of victims in several cases who adamantly oppose the execution of the person convicted of killing their loved ones.
Drohende Hinrichtungen in den USA auf Bundesebene:
Stop Federal Executions - Attorney General Bill Barr, however, has directed the federal government to resume capital punishment for the first time in over 15 years. This move goes against public opinion, which increasingly opposes the death penalty, as well as some family members of the victims Barr claims to be representing.
Drohende Hinrichtungen in den USA auf Bundesebene - an Trump:
Late on November 20, 2019, a federal judge stayed all of the scheduled federal executions. The situation is fluid and the stays may be challenged and reversed. We will continue to gather signatures on this petition until it is clear that the government is backing down on executing federal prisoners.
An den Kongress der USA - Forderung eines USA-weiten Moratoriums:
The death penalty is immoral, discriminatory, ineffective & wasteful. A growing number of states have either abolished it or passed a moratorium (most recently California), and it's time for Congress to likewise pass a federal moratorium.
Online-Petition für Hinrichtungsstopp in den USA:
No government should experiment with human life - we need a nationwide suspension of executions. Call on governors and other decision makers to put a stop to all executions till these states can provide greater transparency and accountability.

Following on from Pope Francis widely expanding actions for hope and healing, peace and justice during the Jubilee Year of Mercy, together with the Community of Sant’Egidio and many people of goodwill around the country and world, we appeal you to apply executive clemency in capital cases in the United States during the Year of Mercy.
Online-Petition gegen die Wiederaufnahme von Hinrichtungen in Oklahoma, USA:
Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt and Attorney General Mike Hunter held a press conference to announce that Oklahoma
has made adjustments to its execution protocol and has secured a supply of drugs with which to resume executions. The last execution in Oklahoma was in 2015. More than 20 condemned Oklahoma
prisoners have exhausted their appeals, according to Hunter.
We must rise and stand together to
allow our voices to be heard. Together we can put a stop to Capital Punishment. State Sanctioned Murder solves nothing, it only makes the list of victims grow longer. This practice of violence
for justice is not detering crime and has allowed an unknown number of innocent people be put to death. Stop the Madness...
Gegen Gesetzentwurf Ohios, der Todesstrafe für Abtreibung vorsieht:
In an awful reprise of a bill proposed in 2018, but even worse this time, the Ohio General Assembly is again considering a bill which specifically provides for executing women who have had an abortion, and health care workers who provide them.
Gegen Gesetzentwurf Georgias, der Todesstrafe für Abtreibung vorsieht:
Georgia lawmakers recently passed and on May 7, 2019 Governor Brian Kemp signed HB481, a "fetal heartbeat" bill which criminalizes abortions and opens the door to executing women who have had an abortion. As written, the bill puts a ban on all abortions once a fetal heartbeat is detected. The bill redefines an unborn child as a person, thus making a person who causes the death of such susceptible to capital punishment under Georgia law.
There is too much risk associated with Ohio's death penalty. We are some of the nine men exonerated from Ohio's death row, proving that innocent people have been sentenced to death in our state. We cannot restart executions until there are better safeguards in place to ensure that Ohio never executes an innocent person, which would be unthinkable.
Online-Petition für Billie Allen, Todestraktinsasse auf Bundesebene der USA:
Billie Allen was wrongfully convicted of the 1997 armed robbery and murder of security guard Richard Heflin which took place at the Lindell Bank & Trust in St. Louis, Missouri. Despite no physical, forensic nor documentary evidence linking him to the crime, he was arrested the next day.
Online-Petition für Billie Allen, zum Tod verurteiltem Bundesgefangenen der USA:
Billie Allen was convicted and sentenced to the federal
death penalty for the 1997 armed robbery and murder of bank security guard Richard Heflin in St. Louis, Missouri. There is no physical, forensic nor documentary evidence linking Billie to the
crime, yet his appeals have now been exhausted.
Online-Petition für Gerald Marshall, Texas:
Gerald Marshall was wrongfully sentenced to death 16 years ago in Harris county, Texas, for capital murder in the course of a robbery attempt of a Whataburger Restaurant. He is a victim of false accomplice testimony, prosecutorial, police and judicial misconduct, eye witness misidentification and systemic racism in Harris county at the time of the trial.
Online-Petition für Ruben Gutierrez, Texas:
Ruben Gutierrez was scheduled for execution in Texas on June 16 for the 1999 beating and stabbing death of Escolastica Harrison. Until further notice this execution is on hold. Gutierrez has consistently maintained that he did not kill Ms. Harrison and has asked for DNA testing for years, which the state has opposed.
Online-Petition für Derrick Quintero, Tennessee:
Derrick has claimed his innocence all along and there is strong evidence to suggest that he is innocent of the crime that he has been convicted of; this petition will allow him to explain, in his own words, how the justice system has failed him over and over again.
Online-Petition für John Hummel, Texas:
John Hummel was scheduled to die by lethal injection on March 18 in Huntsville, Texas, but it has been delayed until further notice. Hummel was convicted and sentenced to death for the 2009 murders of Joy Hummel and Clyde Bedford. Hummel, who is an honorably discharged Marine, had no history of violence prior to the murders.
Online-Petition für Robin Myers, Alabama:
With a vote of 9-to-3, an overwhelmingly white jury in Decatur, Ala., recommended that Robin be sentenced to Life Without the Possibility of Parole. The elected judge presiding over the case overrode the jury and ordered his execution instead.
Online-Petition für Rob Will, Texas:
Rob Will was convicted and sentenced to death in 2001 for a crime he did not commit. More than 18 years later, he is still fighting for his life on Texas Death Row, in one of the most notorious prisons in America: the Allan B. Polunsky Unit. It is essential for awareness to be raised for this miscarriage of justice as Rob comes to the end of his appeals process.
Online-Petition für James Dailey, Florida:
James Dailey was scheduled to be executed in Florida on Nov. 7, 2019. He was granted a stay to explore his claims of innocence, however on December 11th, US District Court judge William Jung ruled that the state's case against Daley was "not strong, but it was sufficient."
Online-Petition für Randy Halprin, Texas:
Randy Halprin is on death row in Texas and was scheduled for execution on October 10, 2019,
even though he never killed anyone. Halperin was in a Texas prison and participated in an escape with six other prisoners which eventually resulted in the murder of a police officer by a
different escapee. Texas is a state with a so-called "Law of Parties" which holds all participants in a crime equally culpable for the actions of an individual.
Online-Petition für Rodney Reed, Texas:
The State’s entire case against Rodney Reed has been demolished. The timeline is wrong, all the expert witnesses recanted their testimony, and some of the most respected forensic pathologists in the world concur that the prosecution’s theory is impossible. The State’s case doesn’t make sense because Rodney is innocent.
Online-Petition für Rodney Reed, Texas:
Thanks to massive pressure, the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals ordered an indefinite stay of execution for Rodney. But he is still in jail, and there will still be a trial. Mountains of evidence exonerates Rodney Reed. All of that evidence was kept from the all white jury that convicted him.
Online-Petition für Rodney Reed, Texas:
The State of Texas wants to execute an innocent man on November 20, 2019. Rodney Reed was wrongfully convicted in 1998 of the rape and murder of Stacey Stites. He has sat on Texas’ Death Row for 2 decades.
Online-Petition für Marcellus Williams, Missouri:
Marcellus Williams is scheduled to be executed on Tuesday, August 22, 2017. He was convicted of the August 11, 1998 robbery and murder of 42-year-old Felicia Gayle in her St. Louis home. There is no physical evidence linking him to the crime - none of the DNA evidence matches Marcellus.
execution of Richard Glossip. Richard was convicted of murder after Justin Sneed, the man who confessed to the killing, claimed Richard had hired him to do it, despite a breathtaking lack of
Online-Petition für Bernardo Tercero, Texas:
Petition von Bianca Jagger -
Bernardo Aban Tercero, a Nicaraguan national, was scheduled to be executed on August 26th, 2015 in Texas, until he got a stay. His execution would constitute an egregious miscarriage of justice.
Bernardo’s case has been fraught with errors. He has received abysmal legal representation and has never had a fair opportunity to raise critical mitigating evidence to avoid his death
Online-Petition für Bernardo Tercero, Texas:
Bernardo has produced strong evidence that he was under the age of 18 at this time. This evidence involves a birth certificate whose validity has never been tested by oral cross-examination in a court of law in the US.

ONLINE-PETITIONEN - ASIEN, AFRIKA UND WELTWEIT
Say NO to the Death Penalty in Belarus (Weißrussland):
Belarus is the last country in Europe and former Soviet Union that is still carrying out the death penalty. Amnesty International, Human Rights Centre “Viasna”, Belarusian Helsinki Committee and other human rights defenders in Belarus oppose the death penalty in all cases without exception. We call on the President and Parliament of Belarus to immediately declare a moratorium on death sentences and executions as a first step towards full abolition of the death penalty.
Stop Executions in Sri Lanka!
After 43 years without using death penalty, the President of Sri Lanka, Maithripala Sirisena, is reportedly planning to execute prisoners on death row. If this happens, it will mean that President Sirisena will single-handedly undoSri Lanka’s enviable record of shunning this irreversible punishment in the region.
Moratorium for Executions in Japan 2019-2020:
In 2019, the government is planning much fanfare for the enthronement of the new emperor. In 2020, Tokyo will host the summer Olympics and Paralympics. During the two year period of 2019~2020, world attention will be focussed on Japan. The use of the gallows will only diminish this nation's reputation. We urgently request the Ministry of Justice to suspend executions for the two year period from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2020.
Drohende Hinrichtung von Hussein Abo al-Kheir, Saudi-Arabien:
al-Kheir is a Jordanian father of eight who was tortured by Saudi authorities in 2014 and forced to "confess" to smuggling drugs. Hussein could be killed any day now for what he confessed to
Drohende Hinrichtung zur Tatzeit Jugendlicher in Saudi-Arabien:
Ali, Dawood and Abdullah could be executed for so-called ‘crimes’ committed when they were children, despite a royal decree announced on April 26, 2020 claiming Saudi Arabia will no longer execute children. On paper, the royal decree is a step in the right direction. But Saudi Arabia has announced positive steps before and then failed to deliver.
Online-Petition für Ali al-Nimr, Saudi-Arabien:
Ali Mohammed al-Nimr was arrested when he was 17 for participating in demonstrations against the
government, then he was convicted under torture. But his case is not an exception in the kingdom -- Saudi Arabia has executed more than 100 people this year, that’s a rate of one every 2

Online-Petition für Sina Dehghan, Iran:
Sina Dehghan, sentenced to death for “insulting the prophet” of Islam when he was 19-years-old, was tricked into signing his confession, an informed source told the Center for Human Rights in Iran (CHRI). Despite the severity of the charge, a court-appointed attorney who failed to defend him properly represented him during his trial, added the source, who requested anonymity for security reasons.
Petition für Noura Hussein, Sudan, zum Tod verurteilt:
She says her husband raped her... The following day, when her husband attempted to rape her again, she stabbed him in self defence and it killed him. When she told her family, her father delivered her to the police. On Sunday, April 29, 2018, Noura was found guilty in court of premeditated murder, the punishment for which is death by hanging.
